On this day in 1984, the first service began under this enormous tent with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke preaching a crystal clear Gospel message! This “Big Tent” was capable of seating 34,000 people! Large enough to completely cover three football fields, with masts that rose as high as a six-story building, the “Big Tent” was a giant in every respect. It stood like a gigantic combine harvester, ready to move out into the ripe harvest fields of Africa.

Soon after, attendance at these meetings exceeded the capacity of even this huge structure, and Reinhard Bonnke began open-air Gospel Campaigns.
