Since the inception of man, the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ-The Cross has been the link of unity between the sons of men and the throne of Grace.
It Was this pull of unity and the voice of the masses (the lost souls) that prevailed and delivered Jesus unto death on the cross of calvary instead of Barabbas.
