Choices build life either upwards or downwards
- Adam had a great marriage blessed and chosen by God. His wife was God made and God sent to his life as a perfect match. He knew the laws and commands of God as concerns the tree in the middle of the garden, yet he chose to flow with emotions which was opposing to his Destiny. He betrayed God in choice over domestic convenience. He had the choice not to follow his wife’s wrong step, yet he chose to betray all the generations that were attached to him.
- Abel saw how his brother Cain didn’t fear God, even after the rejection of his “offering” and the rebuke from God. His blood brother was unrepentant and bold in displeasing God, bold in iniquity. Yet he yielded to his brother’s voice to go to the fields together. I wonder why God didn’t protect the good guy Abel, who gave the good offering. He made a wrong choice to keep flowing with one who doesn’t fear God. By choice, Abel died. His blood cried but that didn’t help him fulfil destiny nor bring him back to life.
- Noah lived in an era where every single human was evil from thoughts to actions even to lifestyle but he chose to be different from all others in his generation. It wasn’t more than God to destroy all and use dust again to make new breeds, but Noah was different by choice. The fact that everyone in ministry, church and christinity is compromising and living any kind of life inspite of the manifestation of gift and/or grace doesn’t mean we should be same and do same. We can chose like Noah to be different.
- In Job’s crisis, his friends were a bad connection. His wife openly counseled him to “curse God and die”. He chose not to obey his lovely wife and chose to ignore the words of his good friends. The fact that you’re married doesn’t mean you should allow the marriage to influence you against God’s laws, ways and instructions. A lot of people take marriage as the end of the road or as the arrival point in life or christianity. Job had a choice to fail God because of marriage or because of his friends but HE CHOOSE NOT TO FALL BY FOLLOWING THE WRONG COUNSEL.
- JESUS in pains prayed “Father if it’s possible, take away this cup from me, but nevertheless not my will but thine be done”. This clearly shows He was battling with choices. He had the choice to decide not to die, not to suffer, not to be betrayed. He had the choice to save HIS own life and lose mankind. He had the choice to live fully as God on Earth, frustrating redemption plan. Yet He chose to forgo the glories, despise the shame, and die a shameful death so as to save us.
Any individual who has no vision for a bright tomorrow lives his daily life on fun, luck, lottery, entertainment and flows in the direction of every wind that blows. He follows every new majority with mindset that “majority wins”.
Whoever is conscious of a great tomorrow will be mindful of the fact that generations to come are dependent on his choices of today.
Marriage isn’t just about age, puberty, family pressures etc. One wrong choice in marriage can be the beginning of the end for some. Career isn’t just about which job pays, but which job is aligned with my life’s purpose on earth.
Belonging to a church isn’t just about who is the latest Prophet in town or which is the biggest church or which one gives Financial AIDS and bags of rice, but where is one’s Destiny attached.
BE WISE, MAKE BEST CHOICES. DON’T ONLY WORK HARD, BUT WORK SMART.
